MissNoName Competition

Propose her name for £3 and win sponsorship for one year worth £250

Horse in the stableWe call her MissNoName but we want a name that best suits the character of this lovely and lively 2-year old bay filly by Paco Boy out of the Averti mare Azeema.

Our filly unfortunately suffered from developmental problems with her back legs at birth.

Her breeder took expert veterinary advice and sorted her out her problems, so she has the chance of leading an active happy life.

However, there is that worry that it would not be fair to subject her to the rigours of training as a top athlete, so her breeder decided not to put her into training as a racehorse; hence why she has no formal name.

Instead her breeder decided to put MissNoName into the care of the expert team at The Racehorse Sanctuary, who would be able to bring her on, determine her safe capabilities, before finding her a secure and loving home for life, equipped for a career best suited to bring out her athletic potential without unnecessary risk.

To help us raise funds for this process we running this competition to find our filly the best and most appropriate name. You may have as many entries as you like, but for every proposed name you must make a £3 text donation:

  • Text MISSNONAME to 70331
  • And then email your proposal to the Sanctuary using this email address: horse.sanctuary@btconnect.com. Please include a PIN number comprising the last four digits of the number of your mobile phone.

The proposer of the winning name will receive a sponsorship of the named filly for one year, worth £250, with all sponsorship rights including having their name on the filly's stable, as one of her sponsors.

The competition will run until midnight on Sunday 4 August. The winning name will be announced on our Facebook page on Saturday 10 August. We will inform the winner by e-mail. Full details of the results will be published in the next edition of our e-newsletter: From the Horse’s Mouth. Richard’s decision will be final; beyond fair-minded social media comment, representatives of the charity will not enter into correspondence on this decision.

We will not see your mobile phone number but Donate will use the PIN to confirm donations for us; only names linked to confirmed donations will be shortlisted by the Trustees.
