The 2008 John Smiths Peoples Race at Aintree

Several months ago, along with 3500 other people, Lynda Evans from Milford Haven in Wales posted an application form to John Smiths Brewery hoping to take part in the John Smiths Peoples Race at Aintree on Grand National day of this year. Not only was Lynda’s application accepted but since then she been through a gruelling training period and is now one of the chosen 10 riders to take part in this spectacle on Grand National day at Aintree.

Lynda will be riding a horse named Trinity Rose who is trained by Peter Bowen a renowned National Hunt trainer hence we are confident that she will be very capable. Lynda has nominated St Luke’s Hospice and The Racehorse Sanctuary to be the recipients of any winnings she might achieve should she be first past the post. This would mean sharing £50,000, so hopefully you will all be cheering on Lynda and her mount as they come galloping around the elbow on such a special day.

From all concerned with The Racehorse Sanctuary we wish you, Lynda the very best of luck.
