Two new faces join the team
Having persevered and carried out all the duties on the yard with the help of volunteers for 18 months both Sue and I had to admit to defeat in that we needed help on a day to day part time basis with the workload.
We were inundated with applicants when we placed a small advert in a local paper but it only took a matter of minutes before both Sue and I had agreed that 19 year old Beccy Walter not only thought along the same lines as us but had the dedication needed to work alongside us as part of our small team.
Beccy has grown up with equines and has had considerable success in the showing world, she lives locally and has already proved that she is keen to be involved with our work at the sanctuary.
She has slotted in and become very at home with our horses who with the exception of Zelensky are equally at home with her.
Also Linda Thompson, a group member who lives locally, is now helping out in the office on a weekly basis, this is a godsend as she is a wizzkid with computers. Linda is involved with a horse in training with Alan King and along with her partner Carl are the sponsors of TY.
