NOVEL IDEA RAISES MUCH NEEDED FUNDS

On Saturday 23rd September at the home of two of our supporters Val and Nick in Burgess Hill a very novel fundraising idea took place in which 22 close friends spent the afternoon and evening being thoroughly entertained and extremely well fed and watered.

The event kicked off at 4pm with garden games ranging from golf to darts, mini jenga to boles and as darkness fell all present filed into the dining room for a super meal with plenty of wine if required, the evening finished off with a TV racing quiz.

All guests made a payment for the evening’s entertainment and straight after supper a super raffle and auction took place with the entire proceeds from the evening being donated to the sanctuary. There was a great deal of work that went into making this event such a success and such fun for those who attended so huge votes of thanks go to Val, Nick and their family members who between them raised the magnificent sum of £550.
